Adrian McDowell - Civil Defence Specialist
I’m an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practitioner, with a special interest in emergency and water response.

Away from work, I enjoy giving back to the community, and have done so through a number of organisations such as The Scouts, The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS- UK), West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS), or my local response charity Wulfruna Land & Water Lifesavers.

I am currently serving as Chair of Wulfruna Land & Water Lifesavers, and Chair of RLSS StaMordshire Branch.

My response roles include being a Community First Responder, SAR Medic, Search Technician, Open Water Lifeguard, and Water and Flood First Responder.

As well as responding, I deliver various training sessions to members of the team and community alike.

I would class myself as a true Civil Defender, a jack of all trades and master of none; therefore, being able to assist with and operate in a variety of emergency situations.
